Former Senator Breaux moderated a discussion on health care reform with former HHS Secretaries Donna Shalala and Tommy Thompson. Secretaries Shalala and Thompson talked about pressing health care issues including the reauthorization of SCHIP (State Children’s Health Insurance Program), rising health care costs, the increasing number of uninsured Americans, and Medicare Part D. They also answered questions from the audience.

During the event several protesters briefly disrupted the conversation.
