Mr. Ghadry spoke about the United Nations report that links the Syrian government with the assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafik Hariri. He discussed his United States-based opposition group’s efforts to change the current government and economic policies of Syria. He also convened a meeting in Paris last week with other Syrian expatriates on these topics. Mr. Ghadry responded to questions and comments from viewers.

Last Sunday, on October 23, 2005, Washington Journal featured the Syrian Ambassador to the U.S. The United Nations Security Council was to hold a meeting on the report on October 25. close
