President Obama spoke to reporters before a luncheon meeting with some teachers at the White House to discuss the administration’s education priorities. The “Excellent Educators for All Initiative” announced that day aimed to bring all states into compliance with a teacher equity mandate in the No Child Left Behind Act that would ensure that every student was taught by a highly trained educator. Education Secretary Arne Duncan was also at the luncheon. close
