Ambassador Birx talked about how the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) was working with foreign governments to strengthen the health sector and the fight to end HIV/AIDS. Then public financial officials talked about ways national health ministries could make the most of their funding to fight HIV and AIDS, as well as best practices from countries that were making advances in tamping down spread of the disease.
