Todd Jones spoke briefly at his ceremonial swearing-in ceremony as director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). He had been acting director for two years. Vice President Joe Biden led the ceremony. He also announced two administrative actions that would limit access to restricted firearms. One executive order would stop the re-importation of military style weapons back into U.S. The second would close a loophole that allowed felons to avoid background checks by registering guns to corporations. close
