In the fortieth in a series on American presidents, scholars discussed the life and career of George Bush. Among the issues they addressed were his naval service, his early political career, the influence of the Cold War and the end of the Cold War on his policies, and the Persian Gulf War. During the program video footage, still photographs and various other memorabilia from his administration were shown. A librarian from George Bush Middle School in Texas was interviewed and guests responded to viewer comments and questions.
