The House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation held a hearing on the Fiscal Year 2007 budget for programs and activities of the U.S. Coast Guard and the Federal Maritime Commission. Among the topics addressed was port security in light of revelations following and agreement on the sale of port terminal assets to Dubai Ports World and news stories about the levels of security operations in U.S. ports facilities. close
