Assistant Defense Secretary Paul Stockton talked about protecting the U.S. electric power grid from natural disasters and cyber threats. He described Hurricane Sandy as a “wake up call” for officials, and talked about Pentagon efforts to build backup power plants at DOD facilities in order to deal with unexpected outages. The event was moderated by former White House Homeland Security Assistant Frank Cilluffo, who now heads the Homeland Security Institute at George Washington University. close
