Stephen Goldsmith spoke about his career and experiences in public service. In the 1990s, he was mayor of Indianapolis, the country's 12th largest city. After losing a bid for governor in 1996, he went on to serve as chief domestic policy advisor to George W. Bush's 2000 presidential campaign. After the election, he was President Bush's adviser for faith-based and not-for-profit programs. He currently served as New York's deputy mayor.
