International political panelists discussed global poverty and how foreign aid plays into reduction of extreme poverty in many developing nations. Foreign aid can be a double-edged sword when applied to help reduce poverty of an area. The foreign aid may be spent inefficiently or in programs that are unlikely to increase the well-being of the citizenry. Stress was put on the difficulty of helping developing nations where diseases and uncleanliness run rampantly and hurt the population. Participants also responded to questions from the audience.
