Peter Bergen, Michael Scheuer, and other participants talked about America’s future in the efforts to combat terrorism. Among the topics they addressed were intelligence issues surrounding terrorist organizations, the goals of terrorist organizations, U.S. and coalition operations in Afghanistan and Iraq, and Islamic culture.

Peter Bergen is the author of Holy War, Inc.: Inside the Secret World of Osama Bin Laden, published by Free Press. Michael Scheuer is the author of Imperial Hubris: Why the West Is Losing the War on Terror, which was published anonymously by Brassey’s Inc. Mr. Donovan moderated the event. close
