The Foreign Policy Association hosted a panel discussion on the current state and outlook of financial markets as Congress considers policy options for stabilizing the system. The focus of the first morning session was the outlook for Wall Street. Topics included economic outlook predictions for the next six months and two years, the difficulty in making predictions at the moment, and the financial markets crisis from the standpoint of being rooted in noble intentions with incorrect assumptions.
