President Bill Clinton announced that he would support legislation which prohibited insurance companies from discriminating against healthy people with certain genetic dispositions in health care coverage. The bill had 135 co-sponsors in the House of Representatives. Secretary Donna Shalala talked about the legislation and the president’s leadership. close
