Mr. Boutros-Ghali met with reporters at the United Nations today to discuss several issues facing the U.N., including peacekeeping efforts in Rwanda. He also discussed his own future as secretary general of the United Nations. Secretary General Boutros Boutros-Ghali was elected by the 184 member U.N. National assembly in 1992. The 71 year old, former Egyptian diplomat, is serving in his first 5 year term as head of the United Nations.
