John Pottow talked about the expected bankruptcy filing by General Motors (GM) and what’s next in the process. He responded to telephone calls and electronic mail.

GM announced the previous day that it had reached a tentative deal with some of its lenders, giving bondholders a 10 percent stake in the new company and the option to buy more shares if the reorganization goes well.
