The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee held a hearing chaired by Senator Domenici about global oil demand and gasoline prices. The purpose of the hearing was to learn more about Hurricane Katrina’s impact on the energy infrastructure and high-energy prices in general. Government officials as well as automobile and oil refinery representatives presented their analyses to the Committee Senators. close
