Democratic presidential candidate Jerry Brown met with members of Los Angeles gangs in a neighborhood mission in Los Angeles, several days after riots raged through the city following the acquittal of four white police officers charged with beating a black suspect. Gov. Brown talked about the reasons for his campaign, and talked about the tensions existing in the depressed sections of Los Angeles. Following the meeting, Gov. Brown responded to questions from reporters concerning the economy and the situation in Los Angeles. close
