Richard Parker talked about his book John Kenneth Galbraith: His Life, His Politics, His Economics, published by Farrar, Straus, and Giroux. The author described the man who served under President Franklin Roosevelt in the Office of Price Administration, and under President Kennedy as U.S. Ambassador to India. Galbraith received the 1946 Medal of Freedom for his work in economics. Mr. Parker was joined in discussion by columnist James Carroll and former Labor Secretary Robert Reich. Following their presentation, the members of the panel responded to questions from members of the audience.
