The Congressional Black Caucus and its supporters gathered at Union Station in Washington, DC to end the 27th annual legislative conference. In his remarks, President Bill Clinton talked about his work with members of the caucus and what still remains to be done to help African-Americans get more opportunities. Prior to the president’s remarks, Rep James Clyburn, D-South Carolina, DC Mayor Marion Barry, Rep Maxine Waters, D-California, House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt, D-Missouri, and Vice President Al Gore delivered prepared remarks. close
