The Center for Strategic and International Studies hosted a forum on the cconomy and how well the gross domestic product (GDP) measures economic performance and the economic status of citizens. Participants examined the problems with using the GDP as a measure of national well-being and what other measures could better serve in this capacity. Speakers included political leaders and economics experts. After their presentations, they took questions from the audience. close
