Jimbo Wales was interviewed on stage about developing collaborative authorship software, called wiki, and opening an Internet web site with encyclopedic information called Wikipedia. He described the ways his innovation has changed the way information is accessed. Recently, Mr. Wales launched Wikia Search to compete with Google, emphasizing transparency and promising less ‘spam.’ He also talked about what’s next on his agenda, his opinions on the politics of the Internet, and his thoughts on the accuracy of Wiki posts. After the discussion Mr. Wales responded to audience members' questions. close
