The University of Missouri Journalism School sponsored a forum on the future of public broadcasting. Jim Lehrer made opening remarks on the mission of public media and principles of journalism. Tom Rosenstiel then spoke about the public broadcasting audience. The event also featured a discussion with senior executives from NPR. One of the main subjects was congressional Republican efforts to eliminate federal funding for public broadcasting. close
