The House subcommittee discussed funding for the Resolution Trust Corporation, which is responsible for liquidating the assets of failed savings and loans. President Bush has requested $55 billion for the Resolution Trust Corporation for next year. Mr. Fogel testified about the Corporation’s records that he has reviewed.
