Craig Fugate talked about the function, budget, and oversight of FEMA, (the Federal Emergency Management Agency), and how the agency has changed since Hurricane Katrina. After he left, the reporters discussed his answers with the host.

FEMA was created in 1978 by President Jimmy Carter. After the September 11, 2011, attacks on New York and Washington, the agency in 2003 was absorbed into the new Department of Homeland Security. close
