James Alan Fox talked about what he lists as the “Top 10 Myths About Mass Shootings.” He also talked about federal and state governments' recent responses to mass shootings such as in Newtown, Connecticut, in December 2012. He said that he supported a ban on “assault weapons” but that it would not reduce the number of mass shootings. He responded to questions from members of the audience.

“Mass Shootings in America: Moving Beyond Newtown” was a Ware Seminar sponsored by the Ware Colloquium on Peacemaking and the Center for Global Understanding and Peacemaking of Elizabethtown College, held in the Brossman Commons. close
