Red Cavaney served as a special assistant to President Gerald R. Ford. Now president of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation, he talked about the 1976 presidential election" why Ford decided to run on his own, the post-convention campaign strategy, and the effect of the Nixon pardon on the election outcome. Mr. Cavaney was interviewed on stage by Mr. Van Ameyde. He also responded to questions submitted by members of the audience.
