Ms. Nestle talked about her book Food Politics: How the Food Industry Influences Nutrition and Health, published by University of California Press. In her book, the food industry veteran analyzes how much influence the food industry has and what effect that has on consumers. The author asserts that some of these effects are an increased intake of junk food, dietary recommendations that are not always entirely accurate, and weight gain. After her presentation the author answered questions from members of the audience. close
