Ben Mezrich talked about his book, Straight Flush: The True Story of Six College Friends Who Dealt Their Way to a Billion-Dollar Online Poker Empire - and How It All Came Crashing Down..., in which he reports on six students from the University of Montana who founded the online poker company, AbsolutePoker.com. The company, at one-time receiving revenues of over $1 million dollars per day, came under the scrutiny of the federal government and was shut down, along with two other internet gambling sites, by the Department of Justice on April 15, 2011. The charges filed included gambling law violations and money laundering. Ben Mezrich spoke about his book with actor John Fugelsang at the Bryant Park Reading Room in New York City. close
