Senator John Kerry (D-MA) addressed the International Association of Firefighters' annual legislative conference at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. He thanked the firefighters for their support, and criticized President George W. Bush on a variety of issues, including Medicare, the war on terror, the situation in Iraq, tax cuts, and homeland security. Kerry also expressed sorrow over the recent deaths of several firefighters in the line of duty. close
