Former Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Chair Sheila Bair talked about the implementation of the 2010 financial regulations law and the 2008 financial crisis. The FDIC was involved with implementing a number of the law’s provisions, including the Volcker Rule, which would prohibit banks from using their depositors money for certain kinds of transactions. MIT Economics Professor Simon Johnson talked about the state of financial markets and the impact of the 2010 financial regulations law on the prevention of the problem of banks that are too big to fail. close
