Michael Cooper talked about his book Fighting for Honor: Japanese Americans and World War II, published by Houghton Mifflin. The book covers the treatment of Japanese Americans before, during and after World War II. Throughout the book, Mr. Cooper attempts to describe the thinking and mood of the Japanese Americans. There are examples of the exploits of Japanese American soldiers fighting for the U.S. during the war. He read from the book and discussed it with 6th grade boys. close
