The committee heard testimony on the extent of the drought in California, which is currently at crisis level after California received very little rainfall during its usual “wet” season. According to Rep. Richard Lehman of California, citizens in certain districts of the state have been rationed 10.5 gallons of water per day. Witnesses testified on possible solutions to the imminent problem of water usage in the state in the upcoming year, and on a sensible policy for water maintenance and distribution for the future in California. close
