The Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe held the first of a series of meetings on the concerns of migrant workers in America. The commission, affiliated with the international human rights agreements known as the Helsinki Accords, is made up of members of the House of Representatives, the Senate, and the Executive Branch. Issues brought up in the meeting included migrant farm labor unions and living conditions for migrant workers and their families. Commission members delivered brief opening remarks and responded to questions on migrant worker issues from members of the audience. close
