Laurence Leamer talked about his biography Fantastic: The Life of Arnold Schwarzenegger, published by St. Martin’s Press. Mr. Leamer chronicles the life of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was born in Austria, became a bodybuilder, a Hollywood film star, and eventually Governor of California. In the book, Mr. Leamer traces how Mr. Schwarzenegger’s relationship with his father led him to pursue bodybuilding and about the reputation he developed during his early years in Hollywood. The book also looks at his rise in politics, the gubernatorial campaign, and Governor Schwarzenegger’s future political aspirations. Mr. Leamer talked about the access he had to write the book as well as his personal impressions of Governor Schwarzenegger. He talked about his personal qualities and how he managed his life and businesses. After he spoke, he took questions submitted by members of the audience.
