Chinua Achebe talked about his novel Things Fall Apart, first published in 1958.

This year marks the fiftieth anniversary of the publication of his first and most influential novel. The book described the impact of British colonialism on a village in Nigeria. Achebe discussed how the misrepresentation of his people led him to write the book. Following a reading from the book he answered questions from members of the audience. close
