David Fahrenthold talked about his Washington Post article on the cost of the Job Corps, “At core of LBJ’s legacy, a question.” The Job Corps were created by President Johnson to train disadvantaged young people in trades such as masonry and welding. Among other topics Mr. Fahrenthold discussed the background of the details of the program and what had and had not worked.

This program was part of C-SPAN’s “Your Money” series. Each Monday morning the last hour of “Washington Journal” is devoted to a federal program, focusing on its mission, participants, and cost. close
