Mr. Greene talked about his book, The Fabric of the Cosmos: Space, Time, and the Texture of Reality, published by Knopf. The author examined the development of the modern scientific understanding of space and time and argued that our senses do not always provide an accurate picture of reality. Mr. Greene also described advances and continuing research in the area of quantum mechanics, including his own work on superstring theory. Following prepared remarks, he responded to questions from the audience. close
