The House Committee Financial Services Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee held a hearing on the bankruptcy of financial firm MF Global. Former Governor Jon Corzine (D-NJ) denied ever directing the use of customer funds in a last-ditch effort to avoid bankruptcy. Republicans on the Committee questioned his lack of knowledge of how customer funds were used.
