After an introduction by Paul Kirk, Professor Glendon sat on the stage with four of Eunice Kennedy Shriver’s children. They described their mother’s many accomplishments, especially her work with persons with intellectual disabilities. Eunice Shriver spoke after being introduced and praised by her brother Senator Edward Kennedy.

Eunice Kennedy Shriver is the founder and honorary chairperson of Special Olympics. She is the sister of President John F. Kennedy. A biographical video was shown. close
