Former Federal Reserve Board Chairman Paul Volcker delivered the keynote address at the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia’s conference on aging and national retirement policy. Mr. Volker spoke about the impact of U.S. demographics on entitlement programs and the U.S. economy as a whole. He also talked about the political environment which makes dealing with the growing elderly population so difficult. After his remarks, he took questions from the audience on this and other economic issues. close
