Edward Steers, author of several books on Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, presents an encyclopedia of people, events, dates, and locales connected to the assassination of President Lincoln. From Joseph Holt, the chief prosecutor of the eight men charged with Lincoln’s murder to Bowling Green, Virginia, where a Confederate soldier who had aided John Wilkes Booth cross the Rappahannock River was captured by federal troops and preceded to lead them to the Garret farm, twelve miles away, where Booth was hiding in a barn. Edward Steers presented his book at the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum in Allentown, Pennsylvania. close
