During a conference called, “Election 2000: Box Scores and Scouting Reports,” Mr. Cook and Mr. Todd spoke about the results of the 2000 elections and how the vote might affect the political climate. Among the issues they addressed were the narrow majorities in both the House and Senate, voter turnout, suburban versus rural voting patterns, and the undecided presidential election. Following their remarks they answered questions from the audience. close
