Christine Lagarde talked about the state of the global economy. She said the IMF (International Monetary Fund) would likely forecast an overall downward economic trend globally, despite recent positive actions by central banks to provide some stimulus. She further said that “uncertainty” was one of the main drags on the global economy. She did, however, praise central banks, including the Federal Reserve, for recent efforts to improve economic growth through monetary policy. She responded to questions from the audience. close
