At this event hosted by the Atlantic Monthly Magazine panelists discussed the economy and other issues of the 1996 campaign. They examined why the economy is important to voters and what other issues voters feel are most important, such as crime and education. They also took questions from the audience. Senator Don Nickles, R-Oklahoma, and Laura Tyson, White House Economic Advisor, specifically talked about the impact of the economic and policy issues on the middle class. Senator Byron Dorgan, D-North Dakota was also on this panel. close
