A panel discussion was held on the economic reconstruction of Iraq. Topics included balancing peacebuilding, state-building and economic recovery; measuring success; promoting coordination and burden-sharing among international partners; and what lesson have been learned for planners and practitioners. The panel was led by Deputy Undersecretary Paul Brinkley, who directs the Task Force to Improve Business and Stability Operations (TFBSO) which was established by the Defense Department in 2006.
