Federal Reserve Chair Ben Bernanke presented the Federal Reserve Board’s semiannual report on monetary policy. In his testimony he said the two main sources of risk to the economy were the European Union debt crisis and impending tax increases and budget cuts at the end of 2012 if Congress cannot reach a new budget agreement.
