Mr. Goleman talked about the new field of industrial ecology that makes life-cycle assessments (LCAs) of products. He advocated being responsible for one's purchases as the most practical way of being environmentally responsible and talked about methods of getting the necessary information. Mr. Goleman responded to questions from members of the audience.
Two-time Pulitzer Prize nominee Daniel Goleman reported on the brain and behavioral sciences for The New York Times for many years. He is author of Emotional Intelligence and Social Intelligence.
