Ms. Hoyt discusses her memoir, East Wing: A Memoir: Politics the Press, and a First Lady, published by Xlibris. Ms. Hoyt, a former Press Secretary to First Lady Rosalyn Carter, Mrs. Jane Muskie, wife of the late Edmund Muskie and Mrs. Eleanor McGovern, wife of George McGovern, relates her personal and professional journey as a single parent of two sons during the early days of the women’s movement. In addition, the book chronicles political events from the 1968 Chicago Democratic Convention to the Iran Hostage Crisis. Former First Lady Rosalyn Carter introduces Ms. Hoyt and shares anecdotes of their times together. close
