The U.S. House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Emrgency Preparedness, Science, and Technology held a hearing about "Incident Command, Control, and Communcation during a Catastrophic Event. Witnesses testified about the effectiveness of the Incident Command System (ICS, a Federal Emergency Management Agency sponsored program, which facilitated improved training and coordination between local, state, and federal agencies during catastrophes.
