Andrew Weil, the Founder of the Center for Integrative Medicine, spoke about U.S. drug policy. He critiqued the criminal and moralistic U.S. policies and argued for a more culturally-based policy to restrict drug use to an adult, recreational activity. He also emphasized that drug education should simply consist of the benefits and harmful effects of various drugs so that people can decide for themselves whether to take drugs. After his remarks, he took questions from the audience. close
